MDM Entertainment recently did lighting for a wedding ceremony and reception at Adler Planetarium and the results came out spectacular.

The wedding ceremony was held in the Grainger Sky Theater where the astronomy shows are held.  It is an awesome space with a huge domed ceiling and a very cool spot for a wedding.

The room was uplit in blue to give it an early evening effect. The flowing fabric ceremony structure was uplit on each corner and lit with a spotlight so it really popped and everyone could see the bride and groom shine as they said their “I Do’s”. To top it all off hundreds of stars were projected overhead to complete the starry sky effect.

After the cocktail hour in the Clark Family Welcome Gallery guests were ushered into Cafe Gailileo’s for dinner and dancing. The room was stunning with fuchsia uplighting throughout and fuchsia and purple lanterns framing the dance floor. Hanging lanterns are always a great choice for lighting and decor at Adler Planetarium as they add depth and drama to the high ceilings.

Even though it was a cold and snowy Chicago winter night outside the guests danced the night away and had a fantastic time inside. Lit up at night, Adler looked as beautiful from the outside as it did inside!
