Carly and Bryan’s Prairie Productions Wedding was all their own with kelly green and tangerine. The couple said “I Do” in Millennium Park before celebrating all night at Prairie Productions.

The Ceremony

Carly and Bryan knew they wanted an outdoor ceremony and said Wrigley Square in Millennium Park was exactly what they were looking for. MDM Entertainment provided the couple with music during the ceremony, such as “Here Comes The Sun” by the Beatles and “I Will Wait” by Mumford & Sons. Bride Carly walked down the aisle to a live trumpet, it was beautiful.

Carly and Bryan said their favorite memories from their big day was their hand written wedding vows and the pro-marriage march that applauded their wedding. Only in Chicago can you find a wedding like Carly and Bryan’s.

Millennium Park Vows for Prairie Productions Wedding

“For our vows. Bryan and I sat down and wrote a couple parts of our vows together but left areas to customize. As he started his vows to me, it was unbelievable how our customized parts were on the same topics. We took our vows seriously but had our own touch on them that made them fun and so us!”

“My second favorite was how right before our ceremony began, a pro-marriage march occurred down Michigan Avenue right past Wrigley Square. When they got to where they saw our ceremony set up, those attending our wedding stood and applauded in support as the marchers applauded back. We are big supporters of marriage equality and I couldn’t have planned it better!” said Carly.

The Picture Perfect Canvas

Prairie Productions is a great venue because it allows couples to add their own flair. With a very modern layout, Carly and Bryan were able to bring in bright beautiful summer colors. Both being University of Illinois graduates, the couple loved the color orange and knew kelly green would be a great compliment.

Green and orange were sprinkled around the venue. On Carly’s dress, in the unique center pieces and on the adorable cake.

“For flowers, I knew I didn’t want any of the centerpieces to be the same and I also really like it when there are unexpected items in with arrangements- so adding the limes and succulents was perfect. Natalia (from Abby Flowers) was fabulous to work with as she is so creative and really got our modern bright vibe. After our conversation, I knew she would nail it and I couldn’t have been happier!”

Along with the couple’s trendy centerpieces, they also had a cake that was spot on. The cake was white with green and orange spots with a C & B cake topper. Carly said the cake was a last minute addition since their guests were being served gourmet donuts for dessert.

Dancing Brings a Smile

“The first dance song was a hot debate for us. Bryan really wanted to use “The Book of Love” but I couldn’t stand the lyric about love being long and boring and I really wanted “Smile” by Uncle Kracker. The song has always made me think of Bryan (probably because he is cooler than the flip side of my pillow).” said Carly.

Carly and Bryan shared their first dance to “Smile” by Uncle Kracker. The couple smiled and giggled, enjoying every minute together. The whole party was full of laughs as MDM DJ David played a mixture of contemporary music, R&B and classic hits.
