With a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a rustic inspired reception, Samantha and Arturo’s Independence Grove wedding was a day to remember.

The Perfect Fit

“We had heard about Independence Grove from one of my co-workers and fell in love with it instantly. We knew we wanted a venue with a more rustic outdoorsy feel and Independence Grove fit perfectly. It was the only venue we went to see,” said Samantha.

The feel at Independence Grove is very warm and welcoming and you feel like you are in your own personal resort. The ceremony space was in a luscious garden and the reception was in a rustic yet elegant room. The ballroom has exposed brick on the fire place and a beautiful view through the floor to ceiling windows facing the lake.

For the ceremony, Groom Arturo waited at the alter with his seven groomsmen at his side, as each bridesmaid walked down the aisle solo. It put everyone’s focus on the beautiful girls and prepared the guests for the gorgeous Bride, Samantha.

“I’m a big movie buff and most times when you see a wedding in a movie the groomsmen are standing up front with the groom. I’ve always really liked the way that it looks and since we weren’t doing a super traditional ceremony, we went with it,” said Samantha.

The reception space suited the couples rustic vision by matching Samantha’s DIY centerpieces.

“Each centerpiece consisted of two vintage wine bottles and 3 mason jars with floating candles. It was something that I put together on my own and I felt like it was a little off the wall. Once I saw the room and how they came together I loved them,” said Samantha.

Samantha and Arturo’s Independence Grove wedding was wonderful. The delicious  dinner was prepared by Catering by Michael’s, who also helped by acting as the couples day-of wedding planner. Michael’s took care of all the little details including the fun slide show of the couple shown during dinner. It was great working with Michael’s and their events are always flawless.

As dinner ended the newly weds took the dance floor to share their first dance to “Into The Mystic” by Van Morrison. The guests cheered as the couple sang along. Soon after, the floor was packed as MDM DJ David played a variety of club tracks, Latin music and Top 40 favorites.

It was a great night full of fun, dance battles and laughter. MDM Entertainment wants to congratulate Samantha and Arturo and thank them for including us in their special day.

“I can’t speak for Arturo but for me, my favorite memory had to be walking down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony. After all the preparation, everything seems surreal. For me, looking down at Arty and around at all of our closest friends and family, that’s when it hit me that this was really our wedding,” said Samantha.
