MDM Entertainment DJ David O was the head entertainer for Sandra and Roberto’s wedding held at Banquets at St. George in Schereville, Indiana last Friday. Assisting David was DJ Nick R. Sean and myself handled the lighting for the event. We had a pretty decent size crew there as we did a lot of lighting to transform the room to match Sandra’s vision of her perfect wedding day. From the many thank you’s from the bride and groom and positive comments from the guests and venue staff alike I think we did a stellar job of making it happen.

As the guests entered the room the first thing they saw was Sandra and Roberto’s custom monogram on the center of the dance floor.

Then, their eyes were drawn to the gorgeous crystal candelabras provided by VIP Events. We put a pin spot on each crystal centerpiece to make it really stand out and the sparkling crystals were just gorgeous.

The wedding color scheme was Olive and White so we used amber uplighting throughout the entire room which complimented the olive chair ties and table linens and made the room look stunning.

We also projected subtle patterns onto the walls and ceiling to give the room and added sense of depth and texture.

Cocktail hour music and entertainment consisted of a wonderful flamenco guitar ensemble complete with amazing flamenco dancers provided by Ensamble Andaluz.

After dinner Sandra and Roberto shared their first dance as husband and wife and then honored the parents with special songs dedicated to them. Sandra shared a very touching father daughter dance with her dad to “Mi Nina Bonita” and Roberto serenaded his mother to “The Wonder of You” by Elvis and had the crowd cheering.

Sandra wanted to get the party going right away and had David play “On the Floor” by Jennifer Lopez for the wedding party and then had the guests join them about half way through the song. The dance floor was immediately packed and David went straight into a killer mix of current Top 40 dance music that had the crowd rocking. The dance floor was pretty much packed the entire evening as David spun a deft mix of oldies, 80’s, Top 40, Chicago House and Latin music including  Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia and Nortena.

Of course I am a little biased and think our DJ’s are the best wedding DJ’s in Chicago but watching them work does nothing but solidify my opinion. It was a real treat watching David go so smoothly across so many genres of music, playing a little something for all ages, and keeping a packed dance floor and great energy level throughout the whole evening.

If you are looking for a bilingual wedding DJ in Chicago (or Northwest Indiana in this case) you can’t go wrong with MDM Entertainment’s David O or Robert N.

I thought as packed as the dance floor was it would be hard to tear people away to take advantage of the wedding photo booth provided by Photo Booth Express but it had a line pretty much all evening and the wedding guests had a blast with it.

I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention how great the venue was to work with. This is the second time we have been at St. Georges and both times we were very impressed by the level of service they provided to their guests. The staff was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone hosting a wedding reception in Schereville.

Congratulations to Sandra and Roberto and thanks for letting us be part of such a fun and fantastic wedding!
