A White Sox Themed Wedding!
There was no lack of happy-go-lucky “south-siders” at the wedding of Dawn and Lenny at Casa Royale in Des Plaines, IL on Saturday evening March, 27th. With a Chicago White Sox themed wedding reception, guests came out in droves supporting the couples’ nuptials and celebrating late into evening. With wedding tables set with a black and white theme, each place setting hosted a mini White Sox plastic batters hat that held a bag of ballpark peanuts inside. To top it off, later in the evening the bride and groom had “ballpark type” snacks delivered like super rope, cotton candy, sunflower seeds and cracker jacks.
Just outside the ballroom was a photo booth donned with a white and black curtain provided by Photo Booth Express out of Schaumburg. The line for the photo booth was never-ending with enthusiastic guests grabbing everyone they knew, selecting a fun prop, and taking dozens of pictures until midnight. To capture all of the fun and festive pictures, the bride and groom provided a beautiful scrapbook with unique black and white patterned pages which displayed copies of all pictures taken. Guests were also given a copy of the photo strips to take home .
Fun and festive DJ music was provided by MDM Entertainment who kept the crowd dancing and singing all night long. MDM concluded the evening with Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin,” a song the Chicago White Sox adopted during their 2005 Championship run and now can be heard regularly at most games.
