Erin and Jimmy’s Wedding at Carnivale
Erin and Jimmy’s Wedding at Carnivale was bright, bold and colorful. MDM Entertainment had a blast celebrating this fun couple, with a photo booth, signature drinks and great music.
Color was Easy
Carnivale is a bright and colorful venue to say the least. The walls are splashed with warm colors. Burnt oranges, fun fuchsias, popping yellows and deep reds covered the space. You couldn’t help but smile and feed off the happy, bright vibe from the colors.
“The venue made it pretty easy because you can’t go wrong with color. Purple is my favorite color so we started with that for the bridesmaid dresses and then added in some orange/yellow to make the flowers really stand out. As far as a theme, we just wanted to have a fun, laid back party to reflect our personalities and excitement to get married!” said Erin.
The couple was able to say “I Do” and party in the same room! After a very beautiful ceremony the staff at Carnivale went to work while the guests headed to cocktail hour in the front bar/ lounge. Within 30 minutes the room was completely different. From rows of chairs to round clean cut tables and fun centerpieces, all while embracing tons of color.
The guests were given cozies that read “Eat, Drink and Be Married,” which is exactly what everyone did. During cocktail hour the guests were offered speciality drinks, such as “Mr. & Mrs. Margarita, Say I Do Sangria and Marry My Mojito. Once dinner ended the guests were offered adorable mini cup cakes and fluffy cotton candy for dessert.
Each detail was represented with a cute hand made artistic sign, that was created by a friend of Erin and Jimmy. These little touches were perfect and fit right in!
“One of our good friends, Jamie Litzhoff, is extremely talented and creative. She is starting up her own wedding décor business, Inspired Designs by Jamie Joy, and we were lucky to have her helping us! I’m not great with visualizing that kind of thing, so she came to the venue with us and we discussed some décor ideas I wanted to incorporate and then she ran with it. Everything turned out great!” said Erin.
To the Dance Floor!
MDM Entertainment couldn’t wait to light up the Carnivale. The couple had an awesome playlist with all kinds of genres. The couple loved everything from hip hop to country. They walked in to the reception to the “Chelsea Dagger” and walked out to “Piano Man.”
“‘Whatever It Is’ by Zac Brown Band came out around the time we started dating and has been our song ever since. It was one of the easier choices we had to make!” said Erin.
Chicago Wedding DJ Nick R. lit up the room with not only flowing mixes but also bright and bold lights. MDM Entertainment brought in their “club like” moving heads, which were perched to top of glowing silver trusses. It added to the magical glow in the Carnivale.
“Jimmy and I discussed it and we have two favorite memories. One was about halfway through the night, we went up the stairs and just watched everyone we love dancing and having a great time. It was so great to take a minute together to take it all in. The second was the final song of the night, Piano Man. Everyone circled around us and swayed to the music. It wasn’t until then that we realized how many people were still there! It was an amazing moment to end the perfect day/night,” said Erin.

Smile!!
“I LOVE photo booths, I always have, so having one at the wedding was not a question. We got a book at the end of the night of everyone enjoying it so I’m glad we have those memories! I saw the little chalkboard signs on Etsy and figured it would be fun to give people a chance to be creative outside the basic props that are provided,” said Erin.
It seems all of Erin’s guests were fans of the photo booth. Many people came back to the photo booth 4-5 times. Everyone made silly faces and laughed as they posed for their pictures. The photo booth added to the dance floor as well because people were not only dancing in the booth but also carrying the picture props out of to the dance floor. It was a lot of fun.
MDM Entertainment also had the pleasure of working with their dear friends at Angel Eyes Photography. Hilda and Carol always take amazing, out of the box pictures that no one can top. Check out Angel Eyes photos from Erin and Jimmy’s wedding at Carnivale!
“Between the venue, photographer, videographer and DJ we had an all star team. They worked so well together and helped us create the perfect wedding,” said Erin.
Erin and Jimmy’s wedding was a blast and MDM was thrilled to be apart of it.
Congrats Erin and Jimmy!! We wish you both the best!!
