Meaghan and Dan’s Spiaggia Wedding
This newly wed couple brought their love for Chicago to their Spiaggia wedding with all their family and friends. The couple celebrated with a choreographed first dance and a packed dance floor, in the hustle and bustle of the big city.
There is No Place Like Chicago
“Since moving to Chicago last year, we wanted to have our wedding downtown so our guests could enjoy all that Chicago has to offer. We loved the view of Michigan Avenue and the intimate space of Spiaggia. Plus, they have the best Italian food in Chicago!” said Meaghan.
Located at 980 North Michigan Ave, Meaghan and Dan’s Spiaggia wedding was right in the middle of the Chicago action. Spiaggia’s big open windows made you feel like you were partying above the city. Spiaggia offers many different wedding packages and Meaghan and Dan were able to customize their wedding, so their guests could have the ultimate experience with unbelievable food and impeccable service.
As most Brides know picking the color and theme of the wedding is very important. Meaghan choose her favorite color, Yellow; her favorite flower, Billy Balls and Chicago as her theme. Everything fit perfectly inside Spiaggia.
The flowers looked like little yellow bubbles, which hinted at the zooming head lights driving down Michigan Ave.
Adding to the bustling Chicago theme, guests sat at tables named after notable Chicago streets. Guests were able to travel throughout the city without even leaving their seats. Wells Street, Rush Street and Michigan Ave were all represented on the tables with yellow signs and bright yellow flowers.
Their Own Personal Club
“We felt like we were at our favorite club, with our favorite music, with all of our closest family and friends. We absolutely love DJ Nick from MDM Entertainment. I was pumped when DJ Nick played Salt N Peppa, Naughty by Nature, and closed the night with Bon Jovi,” said Meaghan.
It was an awesome party! The dance floor was pack with people even before dessert was served. Everyone couldn’t wait to hit the dance floor. Moving to all different kinds of music from salsa to wedding classics, to today’s Top 40 (and even some 90’s N-Sync). Wedding DJ Nick R. knew exactly what to play to keep this partying crowd on their feet all night long.
In the midst of the dancing, the party took a break so Meaghan and Dan could have their first dance as husband and wife as well as their dance with their Mother and Father. The Mother Son and Father Daughter dances were done together to the classic song “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion. The first dance was far from traditional and an unexpected surprise that the guests couldn’t get enough of!
“We wanted to surprise our guests. Dan and I love Spanish music, but I don’t think anyone would have predicted that we would have choreographed a dance to Prince Royce ‘Stand By Me!” said Meaghan.
It was an amazing night. Everyone was up on their feet dancing in the heart of Chicago, celebrating this couples love.
“My favorite memory is of all our guests on the dance floor having such an amazing time dancing and singing along to our favorite old school songs. Our wedding night was the most fun we had since moving to Chicago. It is a night we’ll never forget!” said Meaghan.
MDM Entertainment sends a big Thank you to Meaghan and Dan. You guys are so much fun and we wish you all the best!
