Nicole and Jared’s Wedding at The Patrick C. Haley Mansion
Arriving at The Patrick C. Haley Mansion, you don’t know what to expect when entering the history filled wooden doors. As you make your way into the ballroom the bright marble room is almost as breath taking as the couple saying “I Do” in the back court yard. MDM was delighted to help Nicole and Jared transform The Patrick C. Haley Mansion into their dream wedding.
“Once we saw the mansion it was really a no brainer, everything was beautiful, and with the ballroom being all white it was fun putting our spin on it and not worrying about anything clashing,” said Nicole.
A hidden gem in Joliet, The Patrick C. Haley Mansion is an elegant ballroom with marble floors, drape covered ceilings and a beautiful court yard perfect for wedding ceremonies. The natural light from all the large glass windows and dance floor skylight, really helps to make the marble floors sparkle.
As Nicole said the all white interior made it easy for MDM’s wedding lighting team to highlight the room with purple up lights that matched her centerpieces and decor perfectly. Being that it was a spring wedding Nicole wanted purple to set the mood in the room.
Purple was everywhere! In the lights, on the tables, in the flowers, on the cupcakes and even in the drinks!
The Purple Lamborghini
Being big fans of special and personalized things, Nicole and Jared’s signature drinks really stood out to us! Nicole said The Patrick C. Haley Mansion offered signature drinks for the couple. Their signature cocktail was a martini called the Purple Lamborghini. Guests told us they were made with vodka, cranberry juice and a blue liqueur that made it turn purple and that they were delicious!
Adding a personalized drink is a great touch. It makes the guests’ choice for a first drink very easy. Everyone looked like they were enjoying their Purple Lamborghinis!
Numbering The Tables By Age
Having table numbers at a wedding is a must, so why not put your face on it. Nicole and Jared’s table numbers were pictures of them through the years. Table one had pictures of the couple as adorable babies, table 10 had pictures of them as rambunctious kids, table 18 had pictures of them as teenagers and so on and so on. It was a very cute idea.
“I totally stole that from Pinterest. The table number had pictures of each of us at that age. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it,” said Nicole.
After some fun speeches, Nicole and Jared took the floor for their first dance and everyone couldn’t help but “awe.” They danced to “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson with their personalized Gobo under their feet.
As the sun went down, the lights went up and as the music began, the feet hit the dance floor. The crowd enjoyed a few wedding classics as well as some Top 40 and house music spun by Chicago Wedding DJ Nick R.
“I had a blast dancing with all our guests but I’d have to say my favorite dance was the last dance of the night when my husband joined me in a dance and everyone formed a circle around us. Being that he hates dancing, it made my night that he met me out there,” said Nicole.
