Noemi and James’ Bridgeport Art Center Wedding
Noemi and James’ had an extraordinarily beautiful and fun Bridgeport Art Center wedding. Chicago Latin wedding DJ David kept the beat going and the dance floor packed, while MDM’s Chicago wedding lighting team lit the place up with amber lighting, intelligent dance floor lights and gobo projection.
“My Inspiration was Romance in The City,”
“When searching for the venue we both decided that we did not want out-dated carpet and mirrors on the wall. We were on the search for something different. I loved the idea of an open floor plan. We visited a couple open concept venues but nothing that “wowed” us until we came upon the Bridgeport Art Center. This venue had to be ours!” said Noemi.
The Bridgeport Art Center is a gorgeous and spacious venue with exposed brick, giving it a modern twist on a wedding venue. The room has high ceilings with skylights and windows all around. The natural light really adds to the beauty during the day, but after the sun goes down the view of the Chicago skyline is what catches everyone’s eye.
“I wanted the space to feel warm and cozy. I went with burgundy and champagne to compliment the exposed brick and the wood. I also asked my florist to put green through the tables to give it somewhat of a whimsical look,” said Noemi.
MDM Entertainment had a blast running with Noemi and James’ great color and decor ideas. Amber uplighting looked stunning on the wooden support beams around the room. Each side of the beams glowed, along with break out patterns that shown down the long middle aisle.
There were no limits to this open space! MDM Entertainment constructed a canopy sweet heart table for the newlyweds complete with a sparkling chandelier and hanging crystals. The sweet heart table not only sat the couple but also showed off the couple’s family’s wedding photos. MDM also created an entry to the venue with drape, another chandelier and a customized gobo! It looked great with the Chicago skyline in the background.
“I would put all the vendors I went with as my favorite purchase because they all went above and beyond my expectations. MDM Entertainment and Pistil & Vine really put my ideas into a reality. They blew me away. I know it’s silly but I cried once the elevators doors came open. Just looking at how everything came together. The lighting, the draping and the flower arrangements. Simply Magically!” said Noemi.
The Wedding Details
When planning a wedding there are some details that really need to shine. For Noemi it was her adorable DIY escort cards, her fun and delicious wedding cake and her gorgeous wedding gowns, one and two.
“The escort cards are something you can go a million directions with. To keep it simply and tie in some more green against the brick, I thought of wrapping moss around Styrofoam and placing sweet small flowers throughout it so it wouldn’t look so boring. It gave it a DIY look but most of all whimsical,” said Noemi.
It was a stunning garden. The sprinkles of green around the room broke up all the other colors and matched the birch wood, forest like centerpieces. Another great detail Noemi and James were able to get, were pictures from their ceremony printed up right away to display by the name cards. This was a great perk for the guests to re-live the “I Do’s” at the reception.
Another unique detail was the amazingly different wedding cake!
“I LOVE cream puffs and compliments to my brother Anthony De Luna and his girlfriend Krystal Karch (which are both newly graduated pastry chiefs) I gave them my idea and Krystal did an excellent beautiful job executing it. So Kudos to Krystal & Anthony,” said Noemi.
Instead of having a formal cake cutting the guests were able to come up to the cake and take as many cream puffs as they wanted. The sweets were on the go which left more time for dancing and partying.
Finally the biggest and most beautiful detail was Noemi’s not one but two wedding dresses!
“Finding a dress I wanted something light and flowy. But my mother thought differently, after the 9 big princess ball gown dresses I was about to say ok…my turn to pick but the very last dress from my mother’s selection was put on and I had a ‘say yes to the dress’ moment. I felt like a bride. It fit my personality and it hugged in an all the right places. Although it was a gorgeous dress it was heavy! I found a deal on the internet for a second party dress. It was a steal! Seen at a bridal shop for $1,200 and I got it for $300. It was gorgeous, flowy and it made me feel sexy. Not to mention it made it a lot easier to dance in,” said Noemi.
…And dance in she did, along with her Groom and all of the guests. Check out this MDM Entertainment Video from Noemi and James’ Bridgeport Art Center wedding.
This Couple Had Moves!
From the first dance to the last dance Noemi and James had some amazing moves. Their first dance songs gave the couple both the ‘I love you’ moment and a fun playful moment together.
“Choosing the first dance was a difficult choice at first. We had songs we both loved but nothing where we can really look at each other and take everything in and have a romantic sweet moment. I wanted something with an old feel. I came across the Paris Sisters, Love How You Love Me, and knew that this would be our first dance. Now to kick it up a notch I had David our DJ fade the song into a hip new song, Adorn by Miguel. It went perfectly!” said Noemi.
MDM Latin wedding DJ David kicked it up a notch all night long. The guests enjoyed today’s favorites, wedding classics and Latino Flava all with a club like feel. The intelligent lights moved with the crowd and added to the flow of the music as the uplighting around the room changed color throughout the evening. It was mesmerizing!
Noemi and James also surprised their guests with an eight person mariachi band!
It was great partying with Noemi and James on their big day! Creating wonderful memories and making your wedding vision come true is an amazing feeling. Congrats to the lovely couple and thank you for inviting us to your celebration.
“My favorite memory has to be our entrance. It was perfect from the lighting, the song choice and we danced pretty well for it being our first time with no practice. I was on cloud 9. Feeling extremely loved and blessed,” said Noemi.
