Samantha and Jonathan’s Danada House Wedding
Samantha and Jonathan celebrated a romantic and vintage Danada House wedding and wedding reception. Their love could be seen by all and was reflected in the planning that took place leading up to this day. MDM was happy to help the couple with amber uplighting, a video projection package and the talented spinning of MDM DJ David O.
The vintage Danada House
“I love anything vintage inspired and my venue went perfectly with my dream-wedding theme of vintage, romantic/shabby-chic! We immediately in love with all of its charm!!!” said Samantha.
And vintage it was! The Danada House was home to the 1965 Kentucky Derby winner, Lucky Debonair. In 1980 the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County purchased it and it has been a land mark ever since. The Danada House was recently voted #1 Brides Choice of 2013 by Wedding Wire.
The back court yard set the stage for Samantha and Jonathan’s ceremony. It was a perfect day with a light breeze. A small quartet, Quartet Parapluie, played during the “I Do’s” after the couple said their own personal vows. It was a enchanting moment.
“I have always wanted to get married outdoors in a garden. The beauty of nature adds to the ceremony,” said Samantha.
After the ceremony, the Atrium was big and bright enough to make room for everyone. The light oak floor and wall to ceiling windows made the room look very romantic and timeless. MDM’s gold uplighting made everything come together.
As the sun went down so did the lights as Samantha and Jonathan took the floor for their first under the venues twinkling lanterns. Everyone held their breath as the couple danced to Ray LaMontagne.
Not to soon after the historic Danada House was rockin’ with today’s top 40 from Chicago Wedding DJ David. MDM DJ David mixed countless songs together with ease, from Michael Jackson, to Usher, to Eric Clapton.
“I saw the idea on Pinterest and thought that it would fir right in with our theme. Plus, who doesn’t love candy?!” said Samantha
The first surprise was Samantha’s photo slide show for her new husband! She compiled countless photos of her the groom and their family and friends and set it to music. Everyone smiled and giggled at the fun loving pictures. The slide show was a great touch on the big screen.
The second surprise was from Jonathan’s groomsmen. Jonathan had five groomsmen and no “Best Man” so the men took it upon themselves to make a video to show who would make the best “Best Man.” The video was funny and sweet, giving little stories about the newly married couple and their relationships with the men. Everyone enjoyed them.
“Best video EVER! Non-stop laughter from us and all of our guests!” said Samantha.
The whole night was beautiful!! Congrats Samantha and Jonathan, thanks for letting MDM be a part of your vendor team.
