What You'll Do as an AV Tech in Chicago

As a freelance AV Techs in Chicago working with MDM Entertainment, you’ll be playing an essential role in creating unforgettable event experiences. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

Load In and Load Out Gear: You’ll be responsible for transporting and setting up all audio, video, and lighting equipment to event venues throughout the city and suburbs.

Operate Professional Equipment: From audio systems to video screens to lighting, you’ll set up, monitor, and operate equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Collaborate with Event Producers: You’ll work alongside event producers and lead techs, ensuring every aspect of the show is executed seamlessly.

Troubleshoot in Real-Time: If any technical issues arise, you’ll need to keep your cool and fix the problem quickly, maintaining a high standard throughout the event.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for experienced Freelance AV Techs in Chicago who can hit the ground running. To be considered for the position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in live event AV (audio, video, or lighting)
  • Strong understanding of signal flow and hands-on equipment knowledge
  • Reliable, communicative, and professional in appearance and attitude
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work long hours on your feet
  • Own basic tools and transportation is a plus
