What You’ll Be Doing

As a Freelance Event Setup Specialist in Chicago, your job will be to bring event designs to life. From installing pipe & drape to setting up backdrops and floral displays, you’ll help create the perfect atmosphere for high-end weddings and corporate events. Your attention to detail will be key as you’ll assist with the setup and teardown of events at various venues around the city and suburbs.

You’ll be hands-on, working closely with a passionate team, ensuring everything is set up to perfection. Whether it’s the wedding of the year or a major corporate event, you’ll play a huge role in making sure everything looks flawless.

What We’re Looking For: Experience and Reliability

MDM Entertainment is specifically looking for people who already have experience in the event industry. We want individuals who have experience with event draping installation, wedding decor setup, and freelance event labor in Chicago. Whether it’s setting up beautiful drapes, working with floral arrangements, or handling other decorative elements, your experience will help us keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll need to be someone who can take direction well and has the energy to keep up with a fast-paced, event-driven environment. We love people who show up with a positive attitude, ready to work hard and make things happen.

Are You the Right Fit? Here’s What We Need

We’re looking for people who already have experience in event setup and decor. If you’re great at following directions, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and love the hands-on work of transforming a space, we want to talk to you! The key qualifications are:

  • A minimum of 2 years  experience in event draping installation and event decor setup
  • Ability to lift up to 40+ lbs. and stay on your feet for long periods of time
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from event locations
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills
